We chose this 15-gallon capacity water storage barrel for two reasons. Its portable, making it a better fit for emergency situations, and it's small enough that oversize shipping costs don't skyrocket the price, as is the case with the non-portable 55-gallon barrels. Each heavy duty barrel is made of thick, light blocking, BPA-free, food grade plastic. A great addition to any emergency prepper supply.

Emergency Water Storage Barrel - 15 Gallon
It's critical to have at least a few days to a few weeks supply of water on hand in case of emergency. For longer emergencies the stored water gets you by until you can secure a longer term supply of fresh water. These heavy duty storage barrels are in the goldilocks zone between capacity and portability, making them an ideal fit for any emergency and addition to your prepper storage supply.
Each barrel has 2 openings for filling and dispensing water. The larger opening is a 2" bung fitting and the smaller opening is a 3/4" NPT fitting. Both have included gasket plugs for when not in use. Simple, effective, and ready for use in a pinch!
